We describe a new species of Pristimantis, known from cloud forests of the eastern slopes of central Ecuadorian Andes. The new species is characterized by having distinctive white spots on black venter, green dorsum, conical tubercles on eyelid, interorbital tubercle, and row of ulnar and tarsal tubercles. Efforts to conserve this species are focused on two protected areas within the Llanganates-Sangay corridor, a hotspot that protects endemic and unknown populations of frogs.Downloads
