Price components of Brazilian, Argentinean and Chilean wines: a hedonic price analysis

The theory of hedonic prices was used to investigate if descriptive information, on the labels of the 229 fine Brazilian, Argentinean and Chilean wines surveyed, had an influence on the retail price in Brazil. The producing country, vintage, grape variety and growing region were the aspects analyzed. The characteristics that most impacted the price of these wines were the producing country and grape variety.Downloads
