The endocrine system is involved in the systemic picture of leprosy, particularly in the lepromatous form. In this review, we discuss endocrine dysfunctions associated to leprosy, focusing in pathophysiologic aspects. We also present a illustrative clinical case of hypergonadotrophic hypogonadism secondary to leprotic orchitis.
