  • Maria Clara Bonetti Paro

    Maria Clara Bonetti Paro teaches at the Graduate Program in Literary Studies at UNESP, Araraquara. Both her M.A. (1979) and PhD (2005) in Comparative Literature are from the University of São Palo and her post-doctoral studies (2007) in Literary Translation is from the University of Dortmund, Germany, where she taught as a Visiting Professor. She was also a Visiting Professor at the University of São Paulo in
    2009, and a Visiting Scholar at Northwestern University, in 2010. She is a co-founder of the Transatlantic Walt Whitman Association and is the author of several national and  international articles and chapters of books in the field of North American Literature and Comparative Literature, involving Brazilian and American Literatures.
