Tourette syndrome is a disorder associated with a variety of psycho- and social problems, which affects not only the patients but also their family life. The aim of this work is to review aspects involving etiology, epidemiology, neurobiology, symptomatology, diagnosis, and treatment (classic and alternative). We also compare the Tourette syndrome with others diseases involving tics and cite the organizations that help the patients and contribute to their treatment and socialization.Downloads
