Smoking is a complex disease and its control requires the combination of different approaches. Pharmacological, psychological, mass communication and economic measures are all needed. This article reviews the principles and effectiveness of non-pharmacological techniques for the treatment of smoking. It algo comments on its use in the usual clinical setting and in some special popelations.Downloads
