Abstract

This article considers the legislation about freedom and slavery of Indians and the judicial demands comprehending Indians slaves in Court of Justice of the Municipal Council of Curitiba in colonial Brazil. The text also focuses on the social relations between Portuguese settlers, Indians slaves and the colonial authorities during the eighteenth-century.
