Abstract

This article intends to discuss permanence and changes in the discourse and content of brazilian women's maganizes in the period of one hundred years. Two copies from important magazines of their time will be analized: first, a Revista Feminina's copy from february 1918, and the second, a Claudia's copy from october 2018.

The analysis is based on critic reading of texts and images linked to those magazines, organizing them in four categories: (1) women and the domestic space, (2) women and family, (3) women's body: fashion, beauty and health and (4) women on society.
