The use of characters in Brazilian satirical newspapers of the 19th Century.

This present study aims to analyze the use of characters in Brazilian satirical newspapers of the 19th Century as mobilizing agents regarding the formation process of these journals, as well as it's importance to the construction of a satirical journalism and the possibility of mobilizing the production of narratives in that journalistic model. Thus, it's intended to construct analytical tools for the development of the historiographic studies in the field of Communication.
