Abstract

Vertical Electrical Soundings (VES) were measured at Rio Turvo Basin, State of São Paulo, close to Monte Alto, Pirangi. Geologically, this area is formed of sediments of the Bauru Group (Adamantina and Marilia Formations). This clayey - sand aquifer has hundreds of producing wells. From these, 90 are quite well described (DAEE-IG/USP). At these 90 points, VES were measured. In 30 of these wells, aquifer hydrodynamic parameters were determined. Resistivities and thickness of the saturated layers were correlated with hydrodynamic parameters at these points, revealing a correlation between 0,70 and 0.82 using the linear regression method. Significance analysis, using Student "t" test, at the 5% level, indicated that the correlations are consistent and that the probability of the correlation of the geoelectrical parameters to the hydrodynamic parameters, is 95%.
