Palestine: from colonialism and ethnic cleansing to apartheid

This article aims to shed light on the process of ethnic cleansing of Palestine, in order to elucidate the context of occupation and current developments regarding the relationship between the occupying and occupied powers, based on a chronological and anthropological analysis. Thus, following the proposal of a long-term analysis in the light of a post-colonial perspective, in this article I analyze the process of occupation of Palestine. Firstly, I will return to the events that shape this process, taking into account the continuation of ethnic cleansing since the beginning of the 20th century with the expansion of modern Zionism to the presente day, in Gaza and the West Bank. In the second part, I analyzed segregation and necropolitics, as part of this project, called by the Palestinians a continued Nakba.The analysis developed here is the result of fieldwork carried out between 2015 and 2023 with Palestinian people in Palestine and, essentially, in the diaspora.
