The article presents the life of a "warmipangui" (homosexual man) resident from a Kichwa community in the Ecuadorian Amazon. The discussion focuses on his life and the social relationships he weaves within his community, where religion and sexual choice coexist in harmony, where the conception of homosexuality is different from the Western one, and where established behavioural norms open the way to other forms of affective relationships that are denied but accepted.
