From ancient Egypt to Brasil through Neopagan Egyptian Religiosity (Kemeticism): an Interview with Pablo Mizraji

In this exclusive interview released in 2025, the same year in which the first Kemetic community in Brazil celebrates its 20th anniversary, social scientist, member of the Sociedad Uruguaya de Egiptología, priest of a Kemetic community and one of the founders of "Kemetism Brasil", Pablo Mizraji, shares the history and development of this neopagan religion, inspired by the ancient Egyptian tradition and the cosmoperception of that ancient society. Pablo expounds on the foundation of this religion within the international neopagan context and then focus on the discussion in the Brazilian context. Furthermore, the interviewee explains key points for comprehending Kemetism, such as the concepts of Heka, Ka, Dua and Neter, as well as the principles in which this religion is based, its main worshipped deities and power entities and the approximation between Kemetism and the academic Egyptological knowledge.
