The American poet E.E. Cummings is well known for the special use of typography in his poems, and he is easily placed in a tradition of modern visual poetry practiced by authors such as Mallarmé, Pound and Apollinaire. However it is possible to trace other influences on his creative method specially when we think about two important forms of media: the movies and the typewriters. In this article, we intend to expose some points of connection between Cumming's poetry, the use of the typewriter and some techniques of film editing.Downloads
