Abstract

This text intends to expose and analyse the arguments used by John Milton, in The tenure of Kings and Magistrates (1649) and Pro Populo Anglicano Defensio (1651), to defend the freedom and the right of the people, which belongs originally the political power, to establish the government that they consider more appropriate.
