The heritage of immigration has been shaped by numerous individuals who brought with them their connections to their homeland, including both material and immaterial aspects, reflected in everyday elements that express experiences and meanings in their places of production and reproduction. When they arrive in new lands, they reinterpret their identities through the reorganization of daily life. Thus, this work seeks, through a bibliographic and documentary review, to present aspects that shape the territories of immigration in three distinct cases: 1. Heritage and Immigration: Possibilities for debate from contemporary societies; 2. Associativism, Memory, and Heritage: Italians in São Paulo; and 3. Portuguese immigrants at the Santa Casa de Misericórdia of Porto Alegre: a heritage of the city. From these perspectives, it seeks to discuss aspects intrinsically related to the formation of the new places of immigration subjects, linking aspects of place formation, re-signification, and even reinvention, by allowing a dialogue with objects and places that reflect the departure and arrival of the immigrant subject, as well as their integration and interaction as new spaces, sometimes transformed into a cultural dynamic.
