The relationship between image and social sciences is old, but so late wasincluded in the agenda of academic discussions. With a focus on anthropologicalcontribution, this text will address this relationship by bringing some reflectionson the use and status to take on the film, photo and virtual knowledge in thisfield. Although kept the margin of the great theoretical debates, the relationshipbetween text and image has always been part of the agenda of methodologicalconcerns in anthropology, conferring its specificity within the humansciences.
