Abstract

Based on the pressupposition that the filmic productions can be usedas sources for historical and sociological studies, since the film expresses aninfinity of cultural aspects and social relations, the purpose of this article is toanalyze aspects of capitalist society, namely: the spectacle, commodity fetishismand the clash between the archaic and the modern, from the animated film TheWizard (L’illusionniste, 2010).
