The movie La televisión y yo of the argentine filmmaker Andrés DiTella opens way for his family memories, setting a story in which his father’sside is involved. On the other hand, the movie Fotografías goes deeply in thisprocess on the motherly side. He and his mother are the protagonists of this story told in first person, a plot that allows a back and forth between private and public memoriesand stories uncovering wide social relationships. In this article, which is part of myresearch on the narrative of the film this director, I intend to explore the dimensions ofthe self and the other, articulating them with the issues of memory, experience andidentity, from the Benjamin perspective of history.Downloads
