Memory and tradition: memories of "Baile do Carmo"

Abstract

In this article we bring some reflections, concerning a cultural manifestation of Araraquara, the "Baile do Carmo". When reconstructing this event through the collection of verbal reports and using the methodology of oral history we enter the land of the souvenier and start to understand it as a place of memory and tradition of  this population.
