This article reviews the validity and the actuality of Barthes’ legacy; a legacy that is shown from different figures that are drawn through his texts. The figures proposed to think on Barthes inheritance are: the tantalum enunciator, the atopos or the foreigner, the lover semiologist, the desire for neutral and the “will-to-live”. Thereby, it is configured a possible map with figures that dialogue between each other, in other words, it is made a tracing that allows multiple entries and possibilities of travel. The singularity of Roland Barthes’s thought, scattered in these figures, allows us to glimpse a power to “think the present”, as Michel Foucault wanted. To put it another way, it is about a view that opens a horizon that enables us to produce other ways of thinking, reading and writing.
