In this article I analyze the formalization of labor relations and racism in a book of short stories called "colonial literature" published in 1956: White and Black by Guilhermina de Azeredo. The objective is to demonstrate that, anchored in the colonizer's program, the work formalizes hierarchical relations of work, in which the white settler - the "Caindumbo" - is superior and the black worker invisible and subalternized.
