Capital social e felicidade individual no Brasil

A Economia da Felicidade é uma área interdisciplinar e em ascensão, que introduz conceitos subjetivos à análise econômica. Uma questão explorada na literatura empírica refere-se à relação entre felicidade e capital social. No entanto, estudos relacionados ao tema apresentam-se de forma heterogênea em razão da dificuldade de se definir um conceito universal para capital social. Assim, o presente estudo analisa a referida relação, incluindo três dimensões de capital social: confiança, normas e redes interpessoais. A partir de dados da World Values Survey e da estimação de um modelo Probit Ordenado, encontrou-se relação positiva entre capital social e bem-estar subjetivo.
