Determinantes do crescimento da produtividade total dos fatores: evidências para países de renda média

Este trabalho analisa o impacto de fatores macroeconômicos e institucionais sobre o crescimento da Produtividade Total dos Fatores (PTF) para 52 países de renda média. Utiliza-se o modelo Pooled Mean Group (PMG). Os resultados indicam que a inflação afeta negativamente o crescimento da PTF, enquanto economias mais abertas apresentam maior crescimento. Entre os fatores institucionais, menor corrupção foi o único que contribuiu para elevar o crescimento da produtividade agregada. A principal contribuição do trabalho é a análise dos determinantes da produtividade agregada para países de renda média, com reformas e políticas capazes de ampliar os ganhos de eficiência produtiva.
