Uma discussão sobre uniões monetárias

Resumen

The study of monetary unions has been rendered even more relevant following the recent establishment of the broad European Monetary Union. This article surveys and discusses an ample economic literature regarding this line of research. A bunch of contributions, both empirical and theoretical, are revised and linked in a consistent fashion. Deliberate emphasis is given to the last two decades of academic research.
