Efeito do mismatch horizontal sobre salários: evidências para o Ceará

Resumo

O estudo analisa o impacto da discrepância (mismatch) entre áreas de formação e de atuação dos estudantes de escolas profissionalizantes no Ceará sobre seus salários no mercado de trabalho formal. Utilizam-se dados cruzados (2015, 2019) no modelo Heckprobit combinado com a equação minceriana. Os resultados apontam que um aumento da probabilidade de mismatch em um ponto percentual reduz os ganhos esperados em 43,2% no curto prazo (2015) e que há uma persistência no efeito do mismatch sobre o prêmio salarial. A ineficiência na alocação desses profissionais leva a um baixo retorno socioeconômico e à aplicação subótima dos recursos públicos.
