Abstract

The strategies of the project vary in contemporary times with the form, technique, and plasticity of the builds, indicating some solutions with significant complexity. Given this diversity, the importance of projects that encourage proposals that stimulate people’s perception with materials and constructive systems of buildings, approaching precepts of tectonics and architecture of the everyday. In recent years it has studied the relationship between tectonics and everyday architecture, but it is difficult to identify project solutions that work with these two terms simultaneously. This article discusses the concept of “tectonics of everyday architecture”, which is defined, as an architectural space envelope that creates an inviting atmosphere with materials and structural systems for users of living environments. The aim is to understand how projectual strategies can used in mixed-use buildings in Latin America to facilitate the tectonic expression of everyday architecture. It was analyzed Mercado 1 – Col. Roma, Centro Comercial e de Serviços, and Torre Financiera Caracas, from categories constructed based on the concepts worked on and project analysis methods. The results indicate that the ground floor of these buildings has technical solutions and materials more likely to facilitate the relationships between people and their perception, through visual permeability, application of textures with different scales, and legible structural systems, indicating that they are project strategies that are closer to tectonics of everyday architecture.
