Enquadrando a experiência corpórea de mobilidade através de videochamadas: práticas de mídia digital de jovens migrantes do gana durante visitas ‘a casa’

Resumo

Este artigo debruça-se sobre a intersecção de dois temas explorados em pesquisas recentes sobre mobilidade transnacional de jovens. Primeiro, a mobilidade para o país de origem é uma experiência profundamente corpórea. Segundo, os jovens migrantes utilizam os mídia móveis digitais para manter relações transnacionais e navegar as suas visitas a ‘casa’. Este artigo baseia-se em gravações audiovisuais da viagem de uma jovem ao Gana, no âmbito de um projeto etnográfico mais amplo sobre mobilidade transnacional de jovens e conceptualiza videochamadas durante visitas ao país de origem como uma forma de ‘enquadrar’ digitalmente as experiências corpóreas de mobilidade (embodied mobility experiences) nas relações transnacionais com pessoas em outros lugares. Esse enquadramento selectivamente representa experiências corpóreas de mobilidade, cumpre diversas funções nas relações transnacionais e constitui uma performance de uma posição social para públicos offline. Empiricamente, o artigo mostra que as redes transnacionais dos jovens migrantes são multigeracionais e globalmente dispersas.
