Abstract

The current paper presents thoughts to pull together a free bilingual learner´s dictionary (Portuguese-Italian) in electronic media designed for text production in Italian. Called Cantiere di parole (word worksite), the project gathers the research findings of lexicographers from USP and UNESP-SJRP sho have dedicated years to studying to problem of using dictionaries, the treatment given to various lexical-semantic fields and the difficulties and specific needs of Brazilian students of Italian as regards lexical assimilation.

    Docente de Língua Italiana na Universidade de São Paulo, doutora em Filologia e Língua Portuguesa. Atua, principalmente na elaboração de material didático para alunos da língua italiana como língua estrangeira e, atualmente, dedica-se à pesquisa em lexicografia pedagógica.
