Resumo

A discussão sobre possíveis funções do comportamento ecolálico é apresentada juntamente com as propostas de diversos autores solve sua caracterização, posssíveis causas e abordagens terapêuticas. A linha pragmática em linguística é sugerida como opção para a análise da comunicação de crianças psicóticas. Um caso é descrito e analisado dentro dessa proposta.
