Uma chave para o conhecimento geográfico

Abstract

This article presents a proposal to assist in the teaching of geography based on an interdisciplinary perspective. Geography and Literature were combined in order to enrich students’ curriculum in the last stage of secondary education. The data collected suggest the book A chave do tamanho, by Monteiro Lobato, can be used as a relevant didactic resource for the teaching of geography. In addition to facilitating the understanding of the idea of geographic scale, the proposal also opens new doors for the comprehension of the local and global realities.
