As línguas de Timor Leste: perspectivas.

Abstract

The present paper intends to present to the Brazilian reader an introduction to East Timor linguistics studies. In that case, it will be briefly discussed East Timor spoken languages with its genetic classification (sec. 2), followed by some historical information (sec.3). Finally, I argue that only a few researches on East Timor languages have been elaborate, and there are a lot of studies that should be conducted on different linguistics areas.
