Sobrevivência da “matéria da Bretanha” em “Mensagem”, de Fernando Pessoa

Abstract

The “matter of Britain” represented mainly by the novel The demand for the Holy Grail penetrated in Portugal by mid-thirteenth century and is, along with the heritage of classics epics of Antiquity and the sixteenth century Os Lusíadas, Luís de Camões, the architext on which is built the patriotic poem Mensagem, Fernando Pessoa. In this communication, we analyze this epic-lyrical poem under the category of a demand that goes through from beginning to end and that remains open.
