Abstract

The phraseology is an element of greatest difficulty to anyone who is studying a language and / or working with a foreign language, due to all its diversity of structures and names, and their specificities. One of the biggest obstacles to understand it is in the large amount of variation for denominative conceptually very similar structures. Therefore, this article aims to present a conceptual definition of efficient phraseology, through a study of literature, from which we can identify the characteristics of this phenomenon and understand it better. This work deals with syntactic structures specifically, known as verbal phrases as these units are idiomatic and not allow a literal translation, which justifies its complexity.
