Abstract

The theme of “broken viol” song by Mário de Andrade refers to the metaphor of his lyre and his creative poetry process. The ruinen lyre as the figure of broken viol is a reiterated theme of his work which alterations imply the correlativeness with the poet’s way involved with the popular culture subject and the course of erudite art in his country. The viol acquire proportions of emblem; it is the poet sufferances, his desillusions and the deependless the crises conscienses runing into the crescent anguish with permeate the sacrificious intentions of his work
