Abstract

The author reflects about the influences of the Tolstoyan hero in Fábio Luz's Ideólogo (Ideologist), Curvelo de Mendonça's, Regeneração (Regeneration), and Veiga Miranda's, Redenção (Redemption), making a profile of Brazilian utopian novel in the early XX Century, based on the analysis and interpretation of those works.
