Abstract

Augusto Boal, the best known and studied Brazilian theater man all around the world, inherits and develops the agitprop theater tradition both in terms of dramaturgy and as a director, as well as in the field of politics properly. This essay tries to identify the most visible links between his works and the tradition of agitprop theater.

    Professora aposentada do Departamento de Teoria Literária e Literatura Comparada da Universidade de São Paulo e foi também professora do Departamento de Filosofia da Unesp-Marília. Toda a sua pesquisa é dedicada ao exame das relações entre teatro e política.
