Roberto Schwarz: a literatura mundial fora do lugar

This paper tries to situate Roberto Schwarz's fundamental contribution for the debate on world literature. In order to so, it presents a brief survey of the main contending positions in theoretical discussions and shows the productivity of his thought to the project of an engaged world literature.
