Writer Hilda Hilst, editor Massao Ohno, literary arts and the memory-making of literary arts in digital flows

Abstract

The biobibliographical collections of writer Hilda Hilst (1930-2004) and independent editor Massao Ohno (1936-2010) indicate that they developed together editorial and graphic projects that revealed both Hilst’s poetics and the designer’s artistic sensibility. On the other hand, this fertile relationship also reflected the lack of the distribution of the writer's work in the publishing market. This article intends to present the transversal mnemonic practices included in the Hilst’sbiobibliographical collections in the virtual environment. Our goal is to problematize how these practices can corroborate the perpetuity of the relationship between the writer and her editor also in digital flows. Therefore, we present the contributions of researchers on the themes of sociocultural and archival aspects of memory and curatorship. In this case study, we look at the content published with the hashtags #hildahilst and #massaoohno on the Institute's channels on Instagram and on YouTube. It is expected to demonstrate how these practices can contribute to the memory-making of Hilda Hilst, Massao Ohno and the literary arts in the digital platforms.
