Natércia Campos: literary collection and the presence of absence

Abstract

This article aims to disseminate the writing of the author from Ceará, Natércia Campos, and to expose the activities of her literary craft. The research stems from the master's dissertation carried out within the Graduate Program in Letters at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), which focused on the manuscripts of the aforementioned author, available in the Ceará Writer Collection (Acervo do Escritor Cearense - AEC) housed in the Humanities Center Library at this higher education institution. The investigation of the author's manuscripts revealed the entire process of reading, research, and writing involved in the development of Natércia’s literary texts. This is a qualitative bibliographic study based on the works of Berardinelli (1960), Silva and Costa (2022), and Maciel (2008), which highlighted significant factors for contemplating the fictional labor of a literary writer. The results indicate that Natércia Campos employed memories and readings for her significant aesthetic project. Therefore, it is hoped that this work will help further disseminate the personal archive of the author from Ceará.
