O controle social na teoria da comunicação: uma revisão histórica

A presente pesquisa tem por objetivo estabelecer uma visão acerca do conceito de controle social na história das mais influentes teorias da comunicação. A presente narrativa, tida como resultado, visa conectar historicamente teorias que pertencem tanto à tradição teórica da sociologia quanto da psicologia social. O conceito de controle social é capaz de gerar uma narrativa integradora para compreender a evolução do pensamento comunicacional como consequência da preocupação de pesquisadores da comunicação com questões de regulação comportamental e social no decorrer do tempo. Desde Lippmann, ao menos, desenvolveu-se uma preocupação constante sobre como atitudes humanas são reguladas em uma sociedade de crescente midiatização.
