Teacher, before, during and after the COVID-19 pandemic: An analysis of the strips from the series Escola de Passarinho

It aims to demonstrate how the analysis of comic strips makes it possible to construct a panorama of a socio-historical moment from the strips of the series Escola de Passarinhos, from, october 2019 to March 2023, as well as understanding how the language of the comics helps in the understanding of the teacher’s routine. The corpus is composed of comic strips published on the social network Instagram, on the profile of João Marcos Ferreira Mendonça. The chosen period makes it possible to demonstrate the textual representation of the socio-historical moment experienced by the SARS-CoV-2 virus pandemic, popularly known as coronavirus. It also shows what happened to the school, the teacher and the students. For the basis of this summary, theoretical foundations, subsidies and contributions of Ramos (2010, 2017) and Eisner (2010) are sought, to carry out an analysis that brings to light and highlights characteristics of comics, themes and their contents.
