Abstract

This work utilizes the theory of visual experience as thought by Didi-Huberman to propose an interpretation of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, having as axis the character Hawlet Griffin, also known as The Invisible Man. The analysis demonstrate how Alan Moore and Kevin O`Neill benefit from the visual statute, between appearance and disappearance, gain and loss, forgotten and withheld, to construct the esthetic and ethic basis of their narrative.
