Discursive questions about the verbal description of comics as prescribed by MEC

It presents the research that aimed at the discursive problematization of Technical Note nº 21, of April 10, 2012, from the Ministry of Education, regarding the prescription for the description of comics for visually impaired readers found in this official government archive. As theoretical framework, some concepts of materialist discourse analysis were applied, largely arising from Pêcheux's studies, such as: forgetting the order of enunciation, referential illusion, polysemy, semantic displacement and anticipation. Based on these discursive elements, the research discusses the interference of semantic production provided by the discursive formations of the descriptor during their work practice, trying to understand how these meanings affect the final material that will be consumed by their target audience.
