Abstract

We describe a new species of Loimia, from shallow waters off Northern Papua New Guinea and compare
morphologically to other species recorded from the region and a key is provided. We provide a Maximum
likelihood tree for species of Loimia for which we have data and it forms a distinct clade from other species.
