How would recent scientific production in Landscape Architecture within Brazilian postgraduate studies be characterized? The answer to this question is structured by analyzing works published between 2000 and 2020 in 38 graduate programs in Architecture, Urbanism and Design, and Urban and Regional Planning/Demography. Based on a selection of descriptors, information from 152 theses and 676 dissertations was compiled to reflect on the scientific characteristics, peculiarities of the researchers involved, and the choices, gaps, and specificities of this production. Historically recognized in many territories and continents as a strategic part of design, planning, and development processes, Landscape Architecture, as a disciplinary and professional field of activity, still lacks visibility in Brazil. The text reveals the expansion of the spectrum of researchers and research that has focused on this field, whose intrinsic complexity presents itself as an alternative for addressing issues and emergencies that have a potential political dimension.
