The XV ENEPEA: A report on ruptures and continuities

Abstract

The Brazilian National Congress on Landcaspe Teaching of Architecture and Urbanism Schools (ENEPEA) is a tool to strengthen the network of architecture academics and professionals of the Brazilian landscape. It significantly contributes to reflections and thinking about the field in its various dimensions, whether in teaching, research, outreach and professional practice. The works presented contemplate the different scales of the landscape, urban structuring, environmental legislation and curricular guidelines, improving landscaping education. This article is an experience report on the XV ENEPEA: Ruptures or Continuities? – Campos dos Goytacazes/RJ, considering the specificity of the year 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic and the consequences of the health emergency on the event. The rupture produced by the postponement and subsequent reconfiguration of the event and the continuity, in a new format, reinforced the debate and the network. With the involvement of more actors in the event organization process and the reality of debates and reflections, the perspective is that this report can add positively to the continuity of countless future meetings.
