Abstract

This paper is an integrant part of a master research that searchs the creation of instruments about the popular reading in the process of urban planning. Many interventions in existing spaces can be proposals and new projects that complement the urban landscape, but actually we have a creation of scenes without vitality, so we are looking for the popular identification and percetion to have an effectively appropriation. Is was chosen as example area – o Largo da Ordem in Curitiba, a traditional space, to ratify the methods that can be used in other scales and space clippings The method - mental maps and interviews can be used in diverses scales and interventions, being as suggestion, ratified for the research, for other space clippings. The results gotten together to the population had shown that the creation of this common language between community and technician for the construction of the urban landscape is viable.
