Clusters de Eventos Estressantes e Saúde Mental de Mulheres no Envelhecimento

Resumo

Mulheres enfrentam eventos estressantes específicos no seu envelhecimento com impactos na sua saúde mental. O objetivo foi identificar os perfis de mulheres na meia idade e velhice quanto ao número de eventos estressantes e sua saúde mental e caracterizar as diferenças sociodemográficas e de saúde entre os grupos. Participaram 545 mulheres na meia idade e velhice que responderam um formulário online contendo o Self-Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ-20) e o Inventário de Eventos Estressantes na Velhice. Foi realizada uma análise de cluster ( Neighborhood Based Clustering ) e análises bivariadas. Identificou-se: (1) cluster com maior número de eventos estressantes e pior saúde mental, representado por mulheres na meia idade com características de maior vulneração social; (2) cluster com menor número de eventos estressantes e melhor saúde mental, caracterizado por idosas brancas com boas condições econômicas e psicossociais. Esses perfis oferecem insights sobre os cenários mais suscetíveis a estressores e problemas de saúde mental.
