La Empleabilidad de Los Trabajadores de Más Edad: Un Estudio de Alcance Internacional

La empleabilidad abarca la búsqueda y el mantenimiento de un empleo, teniendo en cuenta elementos individuales, organizativos y gubernamentales. Cuando la empleabilidad se asocia al envejecimiento, surgen cuestiones ambivalentes: por un lado, hay escasez de mano de obra; por otro, hay pocos puestos de trabajo disponibles para los trabajadores de más edad. El objetivo de este estudio era identificar cómo aborda la literatura la empleabilidad de las personas mayores y sus respectivos predictores. Siguiendo el PRISMA-ScR, se identificaron 100 artículos en la base de datos y se seleccionaron 47 para la revisión. Los resultados indicaron que los predictores más estudiados fueron la edad, la salud, el desarrollo profesional y los vínculos con el trabajo. Este tema se ha abordado tanto a nivel individual como organizativo, con escasos análisis a nivel gubernamental. Es necesario seguir investigando sobre el tema, especialmente en los países latinoamericanos, que están poco representados en la bibliografía actual.
